Return Policy:

The Maine Pooch happily accepts returns/exchanges of unworn, unwashed, unopened, and undamaged items within 14 days of purchase (14 days after delivery for online orders). Items with tags must be returned to us with the tag still attached and free of pet hair.

We recommend trying new items on inside in case the item does not fit and needs to be returned.

*Only 1 return or exchange is allowed per purchase.*

If you have purchased The Maine Pooch products from an authorized retailer, please contact them for their return/exchange policy.

 

Making a return/exchange in store:

We accept returns and exchanges in-store. Please make sure to have your receipt or order number, as it is needed to verify the purchase. This also helps us determine whether the return or exchange is within the correct time frame.

Making a return/exchange online:

  1. Email us at themainepooch@gmail.com with the order number.
  2. Once approved, you will receive instructions and an address for sending the item to us. Customers are responsible for all shipping costs. Please note: Original shipping costs are non-refundable.
  3. In order for the return or exchange to be accepted, the product must be unworn, unwashed, undamaged, and unaltered, with no pet hair.
  4. Once we receive the item, we will inspect it and contact you to determine whether it is accepted. If accepted, we will email you to let you know that your refund or exchange is being processed. If denied, you will not receive a refund or exchange and must pay for return shipping. Returns are only denied if step #3 is not followed.
  5. Please allow up to 7-10 business days from the time we receive the item back for your return or exchange to be processed.

PLEASE NOTE: We do not accept returns or exchanges sent back to us without prior approval.

Items that cannot be returned/exchanged:

  • Any items that are on sale/marked “final sale”
  • Items that are customized in any way
  • Mystery items/boxes
  • Subscription boxes/boxes of the month
  • Soaps/Balms
  • Hair accessories


If for any reason a return/exchange is denied, an invoice will be sent to ship the item back to you. If the invoice is not paid, The Maine Pooch is not responsible for sending the item(s) back or issuing a refund. Cases will be closed after 7 days if no response.

The Maine Pooch is not responsible for any items sent back to us without a confirmation to do so first. There are NO exceptions to this policy.
